About us
What is PICIACIA - Spiaggia 46?
A beach club in Bellaria-Igea Marina, on the Romagna Riviera.
The Vasini family has run it since the 1950s: the name comes from the nickname of its founder, Adolfo Vasini, “Piciacia”. You will find umbrellas and sunbeds, services for families, Coconut Bar & Kitchen, and dogs are welcome. Our story is on the About us page.
What kind of beach is it?
A sandy family beach where you can spend the day at an easy pace.
For children there is a playground and a baby club; for those who like to keep moving, ping pong, bocce, fitness and aqua gym; on the water, pedal boats and canoes to hire. All the services are on The beach page.

Booking and payment
How do I book a beach umbrella?
With the booking form: choose your dates and services and send the request.
We reply by email with availability and price. Your booking is confirmed only when you receive our confirmation email.
Would you rather talk to us? Write to info@piciacia.it or call +39 0541 344888.
How much does an umbrella cost?
It depends on how many days you stay, the row and how many sunbeds, chairs or deckchairs you need.
There is no fixed daily rate: the price covers your whole stay, and the longer you stay, the less you spend per day.
We give you the exact price, VAT included, in our reply to your request. Dogs cost €4 per day.
Can I book a single day?
Yes: a day, a week, a month or the whole season.
In the form, choose your arrival day and your departure day, which is your last day at the beach. For a single day, arrival and departure are the same day.
How do I pay?
At the beach, on arrival: in cash or by card.
Sometimes, to confirm the booking, we ask for a 40 % deposit (caparra confirmatoria): we send you the request by email or on WhatsApp, with the date to pay it by, online with PayPal or by card or, if we offer it, by bank transfer. The deposit confirms the booking; if you cancel less than 14 days before arrival, or do not arrive, it is not returned (Article 1385 of the Italian Civil Code). If we offer it, you can also pay your whole stay online in advance.
All the details are in our booking terms.
Can I choose my row or spot?
We assign the row and the spot.
Do tell us in your request what you would prefer, for example the front row: we take it into account whenever we can.
How do I change my dates or cancel?
Through the “Would you like to change something?” link in your summary email and in the reminder: ask us for new dates, other places or a cancellation, and we reply by email. You can also reply to the confirmation email or call us.
If you have already paid something for your stay, deposit included, and cancel at least 14 days before arrival, we refund everything (what you paid with a gift voucher goes back on the voucher). Later, what you paid is not refunded (except in the provisional-price case, see the terms), but we do not ask for the rest of the price. Extras already paid for are refunded only if you cancel the whole booking by the same deadline, not if you change your mind about the Extras alone.
Can I give a beach stay as a present?
Yes, with our gift voucher.
Choose an amount or a package and you receive it by email, with a PDF to print. It is valid for umbrella, sunbeds, chairs and deckchairs, in a single booking, until the date written on the voucher.
I have a gift voucher: how do I use it?
First book your umbrella as usual: with the booking form, by phone on +39 0541 344888 or by email at info@piciacia.it. The form has a field for the voucher code; by phone or email, tell us the code when you book.
Always book your umbrella: the voucher does not guarantee a free spot, and at the busiest times (July, August and long weekends) anyone who turns up at the beach without a booking may not find a place.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes, but you must ask for it before paying: the law requires it.
The payment page for the stay, the balance and the Extras asks you; for the deposit, a gift voucher or if you pay at the beach, tell us before you pay.

Children always stay with their parents, who supervise them in the playground and the baby club too.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome: €4 for each day your dog comes to the beach, with a free welcome kit (dog biscuits, a bowl and waste bags).
At the beach your dog stays on a lead; bring a muzzle and its documents. Dogs may swim only where and when the bathing ordinances allow it. If you bring your dog, mention it in your request.

Yes, Coconut Bar & Kitchen: breakfast, snacks, ice cream, quick lunches and aperitifs.
It is open from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm, the same hours as the beach. Order through the app and they serve you at your umbrella. Find out more on the Bar & kitchen page.
Can something be waiting at my umbrella when I arrive?
Yes, with our Extras: for example a chilled bottle, fruit or flowers, with a card if you like.
After the confirmation you will find the link to order them in our emails, until 6:00 pm the day before. We bring them to your umbrella on your arrival day.
They are food, drinks and flowers prepared for your arrival: once paid for, they are not refunded if you change your mind, only if you cancel the whole booking at least 14 days before arrival or if it is we who cannot provide them. All the details are in our booking terms.
